US Flying Georgian Troops Home from Iraq to Fight Russia!!

Don't get it? Read on...

BAGHDAD (AP)
— A senior U.S. military official says the Americans have begun flying Georgian troops home from Iraq after they requested help with transportation.
Georgia has called its 2,000 troops home from Iraq to help in the fighting against Russia in the breakaway province of South Ossetia and asked the U.S. military to help transport them.
The official says that the U.S. military has agreed to their request and "some flights have already begun."
The official spoke on condition of anonymity Sunday because he was releasing the information ahead of a formal announcement.

Don't you think this a pretty aggressive move from Bush towards RUSSIA! WTF?

I made a comment on the Washington Post article you posted later...but I'd like to say yes, this surprised me a lot, and that's when I started noticing the increasingly pro-Georgian attitude of the media. All of a sudden it was nothing but "Russian advance" and "Russian aggression." Moving across the boarder is a hasty move, yes...but technically S. Ossetia declared independence in 2006...and it was the Georgians who crossed THEIR boarder and attacked them FIRST! So just to get this straight, S. Ossetia is bombed to hell by Georgia. The S. Ossetians call for help from Russia who then come to the aid of their citizens. How is that a Russian advance? Seems more like Russian intervention in a deliberate attack on many Russian citizens. Many refuges have been saved from certain slaughter because of Russia's intervention. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but right now I can't say that Russia is doing the wrong thing.

I am with you! Look at the media. And Bush has taken on a weirdly strong and public stance on the conflict. And our military is flying the georgian troops home to fight russia.... and our relations with russia have been cold ever since the US's plan to put an anti mussel shield in Eastern Europe... I am just worried...I the election is so close but HE could get us into more shit.
